The Commerce Commission has published the draft Determination with respect to the Infant Nutrition Council’s application to extend the restrictions on advertising and marketing in the INC Code to cover infant formula products for children aged up to 12 months of age.
As stated in the draft Determination, the Commission's preliminary decision is that, on the basis of the information provided to date, it should:
- grant authorisation; and
- revoke the Authorisation it granted in 2015 relating to restrictions on advertising and marketing for formula products for children aged up to 6 months of age.
The Commerce Commission is now seeking submissions on the draft Determination. Submissions should be received by the Commission on or before 5pm on 17 September 2018.
