Māori and Pasifika women’s experiences of breastfeeding across the South Island
The voices of women in this project illustrates that it ‘takes a village to breastfeed,’ surrounding oneself with a support network that is able to ‘mother the mother’. This is identified in the South Island as the most protective factor for women to be able to successfully breastfeed.
