Consumer Leaflets

The Consumer Leaflet was produced to provide consumers with a greater understanding of what the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative is, what to expect from a Baby Friendly Hosiptal and the associated health benefits of breastfeeding.

Ten Steps in Different Languages

The Ten Steps in Different Languages are available in 23 different languages. An individual poster costs $2.50 or $45.00 for a pack of 23. There will be an additional charge for postage and handling.

Skin to Skin Posters

The NZBA have developed two posters depicting skin-to-skin images of a mother and her baby. These resources are free of charge, however there is a postal charge of $5. If you would like to be sent these posters please contact NZBA on info@nzba.co.nz

Skin to Skin Pamphlets

The NZBA has produced a Skin-to-Skin information guide for health professionals. This resource provides health professionals with information on skin-to-skin and enables them to promote the benefits of skin-to-skin contact.

Skin to Skin "The First Breastfeed" DVD

The NZBA have produced a three minute educational resource showing skin-to-skin contact after birth and the progress of the baby to self latch. The DVD is available at a cost of $15 plus a postage and handing fee of $3.25.

BREASTFEEDING WHEEL

The NZBA have produced an educational resource entitled the Breastfeeding Wheel. The wheel has been designed for health professionals to use when working with antenatal women and breastfeeding mothers.

The information on the wheel covers all topics necessary to comply with the BFI standards. The wheel is available at a cost of $2 plus postage.
